Janna Vallee In-Person Workshops
@fibreswest workshop registration is open! I’m teaching a half-day afternoon workshop on the tapestry technique used in the pictured weaving, Hatching.
March 21st, 1pm-5pm
Surrey, BC
$85 plus supplies
Register for the class at www.fibreswest.com
Pay for your supplies at https://www.everlealooms.com/collections/in-person-workshops
About the workshop: Tapestry is the art of weaving images, but did you know that one of its core techniques involves blending colours directly on the loom? This method, known as hatching, allows weavers to create light and shadow, suggest transparency, and seamlessly merge two or more colours to employ optical colour blending as a way to create a third, blended colour—eliminating the need to dye additional yarns, a practice referred to as the Economy of Colour. In this workshop, students will receive a crash course in hatching as they weave a small 4" x 6" tapestry, incorporating one or more shapes using the hatching technique.
SKILLS: beginner, this workshop is beginner friendly. Never woven before? No problem!
This listing is only for your supplies fee, specifically for those of you who don't already own an Everlea Loom and weaving needle. If you already own an Everlea Loom please bring cash or card to the workshop to pay $33 for the yarn and a second weaving needle.
Before you make your supplies fee purchase, first register for my 2026 weaving workshop at Fibres West in Coverdale BC follow this link https://www.fibreswest.com/classes

Weave an Ornament with me in a
Wee Weave-Along!
This month, I’m celebrating you, my wonderful customers, by making even more of my online workshops FREE. Then, I’d love for you to join me in a Wee Weave-Along and weave an ornament (or two!) on your Everlea Loom using any of my online projects. Simply weave on a small portion of your loom (as seen above) and your project is ornament size!
What is a Weave-Along? A Weave Along is an event where participants weave similar weavings, meet online and weave together, share about what we've woven, and of course ask questions about weaving techniques along the way.
For this one, we are weaving small ornamental weavings. A Wee Weave-Along! Wee weavings are great for hanging on a Christmas tree, door handles, in bathroom vignettes, or wherever a wee weaving belongs in your home. They make great gifts, too!
As part of this Wee Weave-Along, this month I'm offering the first three workshops from my Colour in Tapestry online course completely free. These workshops are beginner friendly (be sure to start from project one.
You will also notice that if you didn't already have it, Weaving for Beginners: Textures is free and already in everyone's course platform right now, too. Small textured weavings are quick and fun and absolutely adorable Wee Weavings.
How to Participate:
- Get free access to two courses in your course platform and use any of the projects in those courses, or any of my other online courses to weave a wee weaving. Sign in at any link on my website that says 'student login'
- Then, choose a date and register to meet-up online to share, ask questions and hang out and weave with us. Use this link to register.
You will need the following supplies:
- A loom (any hand loom)
Fingering weight yarn for the Colour in Tapestry workshops, and a variety of fingering to bulky weight yarn for the Textures course.
- 3" stick for hanging your wee weaving from (a doweling, or forage one from outside)
- a blunt end tapestry needle for finishing ends
About The Online Meet-Ups:
Join me online for two FREE Wee Weaving Meet-Ups on December 16 and December 18th! These are casual online gatherings organized around our Wee Weavings. We will be planning our future weavings, sharing ones we've already made (if any) and weaving alongside each other while we hang out. And of course, I'd be happy to answer any of your weaving questions along the way.
I'd love to see you! Please register (FREE) at least 24 hours before the dates and times that you'd like to attend. Register for both, if you'd like!
I'm looking forward to seeing you there,
Janna
Janna Vallee Shipping Updates To My Valued United States Customers,
Thank you for your patience as I navigated how to resume shipping to the USA during new tariffs rules between our two countries. You may now shop Everlea-brand items with confidence that you will not be charged tariffs for them at the border.
Here's the long version of what's been conspiring over here at Everlea Looms:
One of the trickiest things I’ve had to sort out is finding an importer I'm confident will get you your package without imposing tariffs on your side of the border. All Everlea brand items are CUSMA certified, which should make them exempt from the 35% tariffs, but as it turns out, not all shipping carriers or importers handle things the same way. After lots of research (and a few shipping experiments), I’ve finally landed on an importer I feel great about: ChitChats. Their customer service has been fantastic, and I’m confident they’re doing everything they can to make sure our packages cross the border smoothly.
That said, there are two not-so-great things that come with me using this system:
1. Shipping costs are a bit higher now: Since I live in a rural area and there are no ChitChat drop-off locations in my area, I need to buy two labels—one to send your package to ChitChats, and another USPS label through them. So, sadly I need to charge you for both. The good news is, until December 15th you automatically get $10 CAD$ off your order to help with that extra shipping cost.
My hope is that you recognize that my product prices are very reasonable for the quality and craftsmanship, and that a little extra shipping won't deter you 😉
2. USA orders will be limited to Everlea-brand items: To keep things simple and avoid problems at the border, USA customers can only purchase items from my shop which are made in Canada. For my shop this is all Everlea brand items, ie. Everlea looms, Everlea yarns, loom kits and wooden weaving needles. I make all these items by hand myself here in British Columbia. They are all CUSMA-certified and tariff-exempt, making your package easy to scan at the border, keeping everything moving along and running smoothly.
sincerely,
Janna Vallee

Big News and A Small Ask
I’m so happy to share that Everlea Yarn Co has rebranded to Everlea Looms.
This change has been a long time coming. Over the past few years, my creative focus has gently shifted—from naturally dyeing yarns to also designing and making handmade looms and loom kits. I found myself completely lit up by the process of creating tools that invite others into the meditative rhythm of weaving. The name Everlea Looms now reflects that evolution—one that feels deeply aligned with where I am and where I’m going.
Interestingly (and a bit chaotically), this rebrand was partly catalyzed by losing my old domain. Somehow, EverleaYarn.com wasn’t set to auto-renew and, before I realized it, someone in LA scooped it up. It took over a year—plus a lot of waiting, hoping, and a complete brand shift—before I finally got the domain back just a few months ago, and only a week after my site rebrand. Honestly? It turned out to be a gift in disguise. I may have been nudged, but the direction was already clear. Rebranding as Everlea Looms gave me the clarity and space to fully embrace what I love most about my work: offering beautiful handmade supplies to new and seasoned weavers.
Now that I’ve stepped fully into this new chapter, I’m reaching out with a little ask: I’m currently looking for new retailers (worldwide) to carry my handmade looms and loom kits. If you know of a yarn shop, craft store, or boutique that values thoughtful, handcrafted tools for makers, I’d love to connect—or would be so grateful if you passed my name along.
Thank you for being here, and for supporting my work as it continues to grow and shift. Your encouragement has meant more than you know.
With gratitude,
Janna
Janna Vallee Shipping Updates A (HOPEFULLY) TEMPORARY HALT TO SALES TO THE UNITED STATES
I'm sorry to announce that for the time being I have halted sales to the United States. According to certain agreements I should be able to send my 100% Canadian made yarns and looms without 35% tariffs, but that is currently not possible as, either the infrastructure has not been set up to do so, or new rules over-rule old agreements. I'm not sure which. I hope to learn more about how to continue sales to you soon.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience.

Janna Vallee Shipping Updates To My Valued United States Customers: Here’s What’s Ahead
Some changes are on the horizon, and I want to keep you fully in the loop. Beginning August 29, 2025, new tariff regulations mean that all US-bound orders from Canadian shops like mine will include a 35% tariff.
I want you to know, I'm here, and happy to continue offering you beautiful, thoughtfully made supplies—just as always.
I believe in openness and in giving you the tools to make the best choices for yourself. And here’s some encouraging news: You get the same price that my Canadian customers do, and the current Canadian-to-US exchange rate basically gives you a built-in discount of 30–35%. So, with the new tariff, you're still getting strong value - and paying what Canadians have been paying in Canadian dollars all along.
With that said, to show my appreciation, I’m holding my Everlea Tapestry Loom Sale early this year to get ahead of the the new regulations being implemented. Everyone can now enjoy 20% off all Everlea Tapestry Looms and kits through August 24, 2025 (11:59 PM PST). Your discount applies automatically at checkout. Simply add your Everlea Tapestry Loom or kit to your cart and find your discount when you check out.
Thank you so much for being part of this weaving journey. I’m grateful for your continued support, and excited to keep creating and sharing with you—whatever changes may come.
